IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) O Levels are internationally offered by the prestigious University of Cambridge and is therefore internationally recognised. IGCSE O Level courses are excellent preparation for A/AS Level, the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE), US Advanced Placement Programme and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
IGCSE caters for different levels of ability with a choice between core and extended papers in many subjects. The core curriculum is based on an overview of the subject and is suitable for students expected to achieve grades C to G. The extended curriculum is more challenging and designed for students who are expected to achieve grades A* to C. Grades achieved through either route have the same value. IGCSE offers a flexible course of study that gives candidates the freedom to choose subjects that are right for them, whilst providing them with a broad knowledge base and lifelong skills.
Students who want to enrol in the IGCSE programme must first sit an entrance examination which comprises a Paper on English and another Paper on Mathematics. These Papers will evaluate and determine the student’s academic level. Starclub places students based on their academic level and not on their age.
Other subjects will follow the Cambridge Examination Board guidelines and examinations.
