ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018
The following is intended as a guideline for all prospective parents applying for a place at Starclub International during the 2017/2018 academic year.
Year of Entry
Once registered, pupils will be assessed for entry into their year group if the places are available. For some year groups this may be a competitive entry. The year groups are as follows:
Pre-Primary: PP1 & PP2
Primary School: Pri 1 – 6
Lower Sec School: Sec 1 & 2
Upper Sec School: Sec 3 & 4
We have limited facilities but will attempt to accommodate the needs of applicant who require learning support.
We are a Singapore-Cambridge International Homeschool and all applicants are expected to have a good working knowledge and conversational use of English, appropriate for their age, in order that they are able to access the curriculum. At our discretion, we may require your child to have a pre-assessment Skype interview in order to test their level of spoken English. We would then decide if they should be invited to assessment.
Enquiry, Visits and Registration
We would be delighted to welcome parents and their children to the school to meet a member of the Admission team and have a tour of the school.
Application form is available on the website, at www.edustarclub.com. Please submit completed form ( with signatures of both parents) to our admission office together with the Registration fee.
We also require at this time, for each registered child, a passport photograph, a copy of their most recent school report and a copy of the photo page of their passport.
Please note that we are unable to process an application until we have the completed Student Application form and the Registration fee.
Dates: 03 September to 01 October – for January 2018 entry
Alternative dates may be available, please contact the Admissions department.
Registered candidates will be invited to attend an assessment at Starclub International.
Following Assessment, successful candidates will be offered places. They may be placed on a Waiting list if demand for places in that year group is high. If there is movement on the lists we will be in touch to offer a firm place.
Parents of children who are offered a place will be asked to pay an acceptance fee and a two month’s refundable deposit. The payment of the fees and deposit will guarantee a place in the school. An invoice for the first month’s fee will be sent to you and this is payable by the first day of term.
Please note that offered or accepted places will not be deferred to another year, ie your child will have to enter the process again.
